Privacy Policy

Handled (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.handledreports.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, organization name, and password. Organization owners also provide billing information processed securely by Stripe.

Player Information

Organizations that use Handled enter player information including names, positions, graduation years, jersey numbers, and contact information for players’ families. This information is entered by organization administrators and coaches.

Evaluation Data

Coaches submit player evaluations through our platform via text message, voice note, manual entry, or file upload. This data includes grades, written assessments, and performance metrics.

Phone Numbers

We collect phone numbers for two purposes: (1) family contact information provided during player registration so we can deliver player reports, and (2) coach phone numbers used for evaluation submission via SMS.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use our platform including pages visited, features used, and actions taken. We use this to improve the product.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Handled platform
  • Generate and deliver player development reports
  • Send SMS and email notifications related to your account and player reports
  • Process subscription payments
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Communicate with you about your account

We do not use your personal information, player data, evaluation data, or phone numbers for advertising, third-party marketing, or to build profiles for sale. We do not use your information for any purpose other than operating the Handled platform and delivering the services described above.

SMS Communications

Program Name: Handled Player Development Reports

By providing a phone number through our platform you consent to receive SMS messages from Handled on behalf of your travel baseball organization. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your organization’s activity.

Handled does not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely for delivering player development reports and evaluation confirmations as described in our Terms of Service.

Data Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not share your personal information — including phone numbers, email addresses, player data, or evaluation data — with third parties for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.

We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the platform under contract and only to the extent necessary to deliver the service (Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS delivery, Resend for email delivery, Supabase for database and storage). These providers are prohibited from using your information for their own marketing purposes.
  • Your organization’s administrators and coaches as necessary to operate the platform
  • Law enforcement when required by law

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. We store data on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you cancel your subscription your data is retained for 90 days before deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Children’s Privacy & COPPA

Handled is a business-to-business platform sold to and operated by sports organizations. We do not market, advertise, or direct our services to children under 13, and individual children cannot create accounts on Handled.

We recognize that the rosters and evaluations entered by an organization may include personal information about minors, including children under the age of 13. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) governs the online collection of personal information from children under 13. Because Handled collects this information only at the direction of the sports organization that operates the account, the organization acts as the data controller for player information and Handled acts as a service provider on the organization’s behalf.

Organization responsibilities under COPPA. Sports organizations using Handled are responsible for: (1) providing direct notice to, and obtaining verifiable parental consent from, the parent or legal guardian of each player under 13 before entering that child’s personal information into Handled; (2) limiting the information they enter to what is reasonably necessary for player development; and (3) honoring parent or guardian requests to review, correct, or delete their child’s information.

How we limit children’s data. For player profiles, Handled is designed to operate on minimal personal information — typically first name, last name, jersey number, position, graduation year, and a parent or guardian contact (phone number and/or email) used to deliver the player report. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, geolocation data, or behavioral advertising identifiers from children, and we do not use children’s personal information for advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing of any kind. We do not sell or rent children’s personal information.

Parent rights. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a player whose information has been entered into Handled, you may request to review, correct, or delete that information, or refuse further collection or use of it. Please contact your child’s sports organization first, or email us at handledreports@gmail.com and we will work with the organization to honor your request promptly.

Discovery of unauthorized collection. If we learn that an organization has entered information about a child under 13 without the required parental consent, or that a child under 13 has otherwise provided personal information to Handled directly, we will delete that information from our systems.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at handledreports@gmail.com to make a request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform.
